About me-

Hello! I’m currently a UX Designer & Researcher at OCCU- a member-owned credit union in Oregon and Washington.

My UX Design practice is rooted in research, complex problem-solving and collaboration, as well as a commitment to continually improving my prototyping and visual design skills. In my current role, I lead design & research projects from start to deliverable, working closely with our developers, vendors, leadership, and operations teams.

In addition to my core work as a UX Designer, I am studying and deepening my IA skills and exploring the UX of online forms. I recently completed a UX writing course and am designing and implementing a microcopy style guide for my team and organization.

A few other projects I’m in the midst of-

  • Partnered with our HR department to conduct research into the usability of our intranet pages regarding benefits and redesigned the benefits pages on our intranet in time of the end of year, open enrollment. We are specifically focused on helping employees understand the various leave of absence options available to them.

  • Wrapping up an internal, automated tool design and development project to help our call center reps make account changes for members with fewer mistakes and less time spent entering info.

  • Finalizing an intranet project- designing a template for cross-departmental projects. This project seeks to help employees have access to the info and support they need, when they need it.

  • Designing and implementing a tool to help new credit union members onboarding themselves and make use of our online banking services.
